Caroline Madeira (she/her) is an artist based in New York City & The Greater Philadelphia Area. She is currently studying in NYU Tisch's Production & Design program.
Caroline is eclectic. Although seen as random, eclectic actually derives from ἐκλέγειν [ek-clay-gain], meaning "to select" in Ancient Greek. She brings together seemingly opposing styles, texts, and research to create meaningful and engaging work.
She is an advocate for sustainability within daily life and her artistic practices. She loves repurposing used objects, particularly with the challenges and complexity it brings to her work.
Her many interests and creative passions together define her artistic process and voice; some interests include Theater, Classics, Writing, and Graphic Design. Caroline is always exploring new means of storytelling.
